Choral music filled the Shelton State Community
College campus throughout the day Saturday.
High school and college students spent
the day with a nationally known conductor from California's Mount San Antonio Community

Festival,” ending with a grand finale in the Bean-Brown Theatre.

The Alberta School of Performing Arts
held an Open House from 2:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon.
Parents were able to get familiar with
the school and the art programs it offers.
Alberta Elementary School was destroyed
in the 2011 tornado.
The new school was rebuilt in the same
location, and opened in December of 2014.
Principal Brenda Parker told WVUA she
hopes the programs will help students appreciate art throughout their lives. ...Read more
A single car crash killed a Winfield
man Saturday afternoon around 4:30.
It happened on Marion County 69 about
one mile south of Winfield.
State Troopers tell WVUA 87 year old Mack
Dodd, Jr., was walking in the road when he was hit by a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The driver of the car was not injured and
did stay on the scene.
State Troopers continue to investigate

community forum focused on improving the relationship between citizens and law

They talked about how to react to
